Basics of UAVs

This workshop was conducted on the occasion of UAE Innovation Week during the week of Nov 22, 2015 to Nov 28, 2015. Hosted by in5, and facilitated by us, the UAV workshop was is a repeat of the Basics of UAV’s workshop, conducted in the past.

A Drone or UAV come in different shapes and sizes. Knowing how they work and how to make them do your bidding, is something we covered in theory. We also gave participants a chance to build their own quad-copter

At this workshop we covered:

  • The history of Drones and UAVs
  • Different types of Drones, UAVs, flying devices, and road drones
  • Building a Quad Copter from parts
  • Part selection and Fine Tuning a Quad

Through this workshop, we taught how to make your own UAV – be it to make a drone to satisfy the geek in you or to enhance your skills as a photographer. We bought in an expert to show participants what to look for in the process to make their own quad copter.
